How is DropIt different from Apple Screen Time or Digital Wellbeing?
With Screen Time and Digital Wellbeing, the way to bypass your limits is always within reach. One tap and you are back on Instagram. DropIt removes that option. The only way to unblock your apps is to physically scan your tag. Put it in another room, leave it at home, give it to someone else. That distance is what makes it work.
Is the DropIt app free?
Yes. The app is free to download. You purchase the tag once and that is it.
Are there any subscriptions?
No. Never.
Which devices are compatible?
DropIt currently works on iPhone with iOS 17.6 or higher. Android support is coming soon.
Which apps and websites can I block?
You can block any app on your iPhone, as well as websites in Safari.
What is Coffee Break?
If you enable Coffee Break in the app settings, you get one 15-minute break per blocking session. Enough to check in, not enough to lose the afternoon.
What is Strict Mode?
Strict Mode can be turned on in the app settings. It prevents you from deleting the DropIt app to bypass an active block. For when you really mean it.
What if I urgently need access to a blocked app?
Emergencies happen. Each DropIt tag includes 3 emergency Pick-ups, a one-time override you can use directly in the app to unblock everything instantly. Use them wisely.
The tag
Do I always need the tag to start a blocking session?
No. You can start a blocking session manually from within the app. Unblocking, however, is only possible by scanning your DropIt tag. That is what keeps you honest.
Can I share the tag with others?
Yes. One tag works with multiple phones, as long as the DropIt app is installed. Share it with a partner, friend, or roommate.
Is the tag waterproof?
Yes. The DropIt tag is IP68 certified and fully waterproof.
Does the tag need charging?
No. The tag has no battery and never needs charging.
Shipping & returns
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 2 business days. After that, PostNL delivers within 1 to 2 business days. In total, expect your order within 3 to 4 business days.
Do you ship outside the Netherlands?
We currently ship within the Netherlands only. International shipping is coming soon.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs €3.95. Orders of 2 tags or more qualify for free shipping.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. The item must be unused and in its original packaging. Email support@joindropit.com with your order number to get started. A €4.50 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
Privacy
Do you collect data through the DropIt app?
No. DropIt does not collect any data. Everything stays on your device.
